Complete instructions for configuring your dealer pricing
Every item in the pricing engine has the same 4 fields:
| Field | What It Means | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Material Cost | What YOU pay for the materials (your cost) | $5.00 per sq ft |
| Material Margin % | Your markup percentage on materials | 20% |
| Labor Cost | What YOU pay for labor (your cost) | $3.00 per sq ft |
| Labor Margin % | Your markup percentage on labor | 25% |
Customer Price = (Material Cost × (1 + Material Margin%)) + (Labor Cost × (1 + Labor Margin%))
You enter:

Quick Tip: If you want a 20% profit margin, enter 20 in the margin field. The system adds this on top of your cost automatically.
This sets the base price for the main building structure (walls, roof, frame). You create "tiers" based on building size because larger buildings typically cost less per square foot.
| Size Range | Material $ | Margin % | Labor $ | Margin % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 0 - 2,400 sq ft | $6.50 | 20% | $4.00 | 20% |
| 2,401 - 5,000 sq ft | $5.75 | 20% | $3.50 | 20% |
| 5,001 - 10,000 sq ft | $5.00 | 20% | $3.00 | 20% |
Notice how price per sq ft decreases as building size increases.
Same setup as main building, but for secondary structures that connect to the main building. Typically priced slightly lower since they share a wall.
Important: Make sure your tier ranges don't have gaps. If tier 1 ends at 2,400, tier 2 should start at 2,401.
Leantos are extensions that attach to the side of a building. They come in two types:
Leantos are priced per square foot based on their width:
Wider leantos typically cost more per square foot because they require heavier structural support.
| Width | Material $/sqft | Margin % | Labor $/sqft | Margin % |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 8' Wide | $4.00 | 20% | $2.50 | 20% |
| 10' Wide | $4.50 | 20% | $2.75 | 20% |
| 12' Wide | $5.00 | 20% | $3.00 | 20% |
Enclosed vs Open: Enclosed leantos should be priced higher than open leantos since they include walls.
This covers all doors and windows. Each size has a flat rate (not per sq ft).
Openings have 2 extra fields for color upgrades:
| Field | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Material Cost | Your cost for the standard opening |
| Material Margin % | Your markup on materials |
| Labor Cost | Your cost to install |
| Labor Margin % | Your markup on labor |
| Color Cost | Additional cost if customer picks a color upgrade (leave blank if no upgrade offered) |
| Color Margin % | Your markup on color upgrades |
Standard window sizes available in the configurator:
| Size | Material | Labor | Color Upgrade |

| 4'×4' | $225 | $85 | $65 |
| 6'×6' | $400 | $125 | $100 |
Personnel entry doors come in 4 types:

Priced per linear foot of gutter. The system calculates total based on building perimeter.
You can offer up to 3 different insulation options. For each option, enter:
| Option | R-Value | Type | Material/sqft | Labor/sqft |

| 1 | R-13 | Fiberglass | $0.45 | $0.35 |
| 2 | R-19 | Fiberglass | $0.65 | $0.40 |
| 3 | R-30 | Spray Foam | $1.25 | $0.75 |
Same setup as wall insulation - 3 options available. Price per square foot of roof area.
Priced per linear foot in two widths:
Steel panels for finished interior walls and ceiling. Priced per square foot.
For wall liner, also check which height options you offer:
Priced per square foot by thickness:
| Thickness | Material/sqft | Margin | Labor/sqft | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4" | $3.50 | 20% | $2.50 | 25% |

First, set your default footing dimensions:
Then enter your pricing per linear foot.
Moisture barrier installed under the concrete slab. Priced per square foot.
Vapor barriers prevent ground moisture from seeping up through the concrete, protecting the building contents and reducing humidity issues.
| Item | Material/sqft | Margin | Labor/sqft | Margin |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vapor Barrier | $0.15 | 20% | $0.10 | 25% |
Leave concrete blank if you don't offer concrete work. Many dealers quote concrete separately or have customers arrange their own.
If you use the same margin percentage across all items, use the "Copy Material Margin to All" and "Copy Labor Margin to All" buttons at the bottom of the pricing page. This fills in ALL margin fields at once.
Any item left blank won't appear in the customer configurator. This is useful for:
| Margin % | Use When |
|---|---|
| 15-20% | Competitive pricing, high volume |
| 20-25% | Standard pricing, good balance |
| 25-35% | Premium service, custom work |
Click "Save Pricing" after making changes. The orange "Unsaved changes" badge reminds you if you have unsaved work.
After saving, go to your configurator and build a sample building to verify prices look correct.
